QUALIFICATIONS
You are at least board eligible, however, board certified in internal medicine and GI is preferred. GI doctors with BLS and advanced training in ERCP and EUS may have an increased likelihood of matching with a facility. ACLS is typically required for moderate sedation.

AVAILABILITY
A minimum of one to two weeks per month for four to six months of coverage. In-patient care is typically 7-day blocks with 24 hour call. Outpatient care is typically Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm with no call or beeper.

LICENSURE
Possession of IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) is highly desirable, enabling you to practice across state lines and broadening the scope of opportunities.

ADAPTABILITY
Our preferred gastroenterology candidates are willing to travel, learn new systems, and be flexible overall.
