  • QUALIFICATIONS

    You are currently board certified and have two years or more of work experience. General surgeons with ACLS, ATLS, or BLS certifications may increase their likelihood of matching with a facility.

  • AVAILABILITY

    You are available for at least two weeks per month, providing flexibility to meet varying needs at medical facilities. Medical facilities commonly seek to fill weekends and 7-10 day blocks with the support of locum providers.

  • LICENSURE

    Possession of IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) is highly desirable, enabling you to practice across state lines and broadening the scope of opportunities.

  • ADAPTABILITY

    You are comfortable working in a wide variety of care settings—from critical access up to level 2 facilities. Trauma and endoscopy experience are also highly valued for general surgery locum candidates.
