Job Description

A South Carolina medical center is seeking an emergency medicine physician to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage. Shifts include a mix of 12-hour and 24-hour options, with an annual ED volume of approximately 12,000 visits. This role includes a broad range of procedures such as chest tubes, central lines, suturing, splinting/reductions, vent management, EKG interpretation, OB care, stroke response, trauma, psychiatric evaluations, and PIC line placements. You will be expected to keep the ED moving efficiently by promptly evaluating every patient. Ultrasound skills are helpful but not required. Internal medicine and family medicine physicians with significant emergency department experience are welcome to apply, and candidates must hold current PALS and ACLS certifications.
