Job Description
A healthcare system in Hawaii is seeking a nephrologist to provide full‑time locum tenens coverage in a comprehensive internal medicine nephrology practice. In this role, you will work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., delivering nephrology services to an adult patient population across both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will care for approximately 750 dialysis patients across dialysis clinics, rounding in the units several times per week, while also managing new and follow‑up outpatient consultations. In addition to outpatient care, you will provide inpatient nephrology consultations at the hospital and participate in a shared call rotation with six nephrologists from Friday at noon to the following Friday at noon. The scope of practice includes outpatient management of chronic kidney disease, dialysis care, inpatient consults, and pre‑ and post‑transplant nephrology management, with an emphasis on evidence‑based medicine.
