A North Carolina healthcare facility is seeking a locum tenens physician assistant to support inpatient orthopedic surgery services on a daytime, Monday through Friday schedule. This is an inpatient‑only job with no OR time and no first‑assist responsibilities. Clinical duties include independently rounding, handling consults, managing admissions and discharges, and supporting post‑operative care for upper and lower extremity cases. Procedural responsibilities include splinting, reductions, joint aspirations, suturing, and traction pins. The average daily patient census ranges from 10–13, and you’ll collaborate daily with two highly experienced orthopedic trauma surgeons.
