Job Description
A hospital in Illinois is seeking a board-certified OBGYN physician for locum coverage to support their high-risk maternity unit. This in-house role runs 24 hours per shift (7 AM to 7 AM) with no call responsibilities. You’ll manage 10–15 deliveries per month and oversee a patient load that includes 4–10 post-partum cases and 2–10 labor and delivery/high-risk moms per day. Responsibilities include rounding, emergency response (e.g., hemorrhage, codes), and supervising family practice residents by reviewing and signing off on their notes. The OB Hospitalist will follow the care plans set by the on-site MFM, who is available 24/7 and holds office hours Monday through Friday.
