A Louisiana hospital is seeking an experienced acute care pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant for ongoing locum tenens coverage in the cardiac ICU. This role includes both AM and PM 12-hour shifts, with providers managing 8–10 patients per shift. You’ll work alongside 1–2 advanced practice providers and an attending physician on-site 24/7. This is a hands-on role involving procedures, prescribing, and care for ECMO patients (no transplant cases). Candidates must have prior cardiac ICU experience, and acute care certification is required for nurse practitioners. ACLS is preferred but not required.
