A hospital‑based cardiothoracic surgery team in Wisconsin is seeking a physician assistant to provide full‑time locum tenens coverage in a surgical setting. In this assignment, you will work Monday through Friday with primary daytime hours typically from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., collaborating closely with cardiothoracic surgeons throughout all phases of patient care. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and examining patients, assisting with diagnosis and treatment planning, performing technical and surgical procedures in the operating room, and managing documentation related to patient progress and surgical care. You may also write prescriptions and medical orders as part of your scope of practice. Call responsibilities rotate at approximately one in five for both weekdays and weekends, with weekday call generally running from midday through the following morning and weekend coverage spanning Friday morning through Monday morning.
