Congratulations to David Richardson for His Promotion to Chief Operating Officer

Since joining Hayes Locums in 2015, David has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational foundation and driving its evolution. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Operations, David oversaw several core departments—including Marketing, Credentialing & Licensing, Travel, and Sales Support—where he led transformative initiatives that enhanced performance, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

David was instrumental in developing and scaling the sales leadership structure and launching new specialty recruitment teams that have become top-performing contributors to the business.  He also introduced performance metrics across support departments to improve visibility and results, while leading efforts to streamline credentialing processes and reduce sales support inaccuracies—enhancing both client experience and internal efficiency. His strategic leadership was central to the launch of HMS Credentialing Service, the company’s internal CVO, which has elevated credentialing capabilities and positioned Hayes Locums for continued growth.

David’s ability to lead with vision, integrity, and a deep understanding of operational strategy has made a lasting impact on the company’s culture and trajectory. As Chief Operating Officer, he will continue to oversee support operations departments—including Talent Acquisition—and play a key role in guiding the future of Hayes Locums.


Congratulations to Corey Self for His Promotion to Chief Strategy Officer 

Since joining Hayes Locums in 2017 as a Sales Manager, Corey has consistently demonstrated servant leadership and a deep commitment to the growth and development of others. His early initiative to train new consultants led to the creation of the company’s dedicated Training Department, which, under his leadership, earned five global training awards. Corey’s development of a best-in-class onboarding experience and the launch of the Drive program accelerated consultant success and pipeline development, setting a new standard for internal training.

In 2020, Corey led the implementation of Salesforce and MD-Staff, igniting Hayes Locums’ digital transformation and laying the foundation for the Salesforce Services Department. By 2021, he expanded the company’s digital capabilities to include provider and client-facing solutions such as Timesheets and Invoices, streamlining workflows and enhancing the overall experience for both internal teams and external partners.

Most recently, Corey assumed leadership of the IT Department and spearheaded the development of LocumScope, a real-time, intuitive platform that empowers clients with advanced scheduling, financial management, and analytics tools. His strategic vision has modernized operations through integrated systems and automated processes—driving agility, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

Corey’s ability to align emerging technologies with business strategy has positioned Hayes Locums as a forward-thinking, trusted leader in the locums industry. His journey is a testament to the power of innovation, stewardship, and people-first leadership. As Chief Strategy Officer, Corey will continue to guide the company’s strategic direction and digital evolution.
